On 6.5.24, Inclusion In Motion celebrated the completion of Phase III of Motion Junction in Canandaigua, NY.

Motion Junction is now, officially, the first universally designed and certified playground in the United States.

Phase III included the completion of:

Pavilion Construction

Community Artwork Tiles

4 Universally Designed Family Bathrooms

Mindfulness Pathway

Family Picnic Area

Drop-off Traffic Loop

Parking Lot Paved

Water Fountain & Bottle Filling Station

Welcome Archways Installed

Concession Stand Ready For Future Use

A huge thank you to our Phase III team to include The Town of Canandaigua for their ongoing support, eco_logic STUDIOS for the remarkable pavilion design, New Energy Works for the beautiful pavilion build, and the UB’s Center for Inclusive Design and Environmental Access (IDEA Center) who continuously revised the space to extend the limits of design in order to create an environment that would provide an enhance experience for all playground visitors, regardless of age or ability.
